Since first stepping into a Go-Kart when he was eleven, Alida has been a keen racing driver, winning multiple Go-Karting Individual and Team Endurance Races. Alida also enjoys playing badminton, soccer (a huge Barcelona fan), and hockey; he's also a member of the rifle shooting club at school.

A drummer since the age of five, he's a member of  Tonbridge's Big Band and Symphony Orchestra. Alida also enjoys playing Go, an ancient strategic board game that overtook Chess to become his favourite.

Alida has two younger sisters, Sofia and Alina. Together they take care of a cute white Pomeranian named Doudou.

Alida's biggest academic passion is Philosophy. At Tonbridge, he founded the Agora, a Philosophy Society with 50 registered members that holds weekly discussions. Alida also loves Religious Studies (particularly Buddhism and Christianity), History, and Literature.

In 2024, Alida's essay on moral intuition received a "Very High Commendation" in the John Locke Global Essay Prize's Philosophy Category.

As he enters his final year at Tonbridge, Alida has been appointed as Deputy Head of School. In this post, Alida arranges the Prefect duties, hosts prospective applicants, and guides assemblies for younger years.

Along with Ollie (the other Deputy Head of School), Alida organises and leads the Movember Charity campaign. The campaign will run throughout November to raise awareness and funds for men's mental and physical health.
